Islamabad: In view of the recent flood situation and other economic problems in Pakistan, the development projects were slow in the first 5 months of the financial year.
Pakistan's development expenditure fell by nearly 45 percent to less than Rs 99 billion at the start of the current fiscal year due to an increase in overall government spending.
Sources in this regard say that according to the document of the Ministry of Finance, 130 billion 63 crore rupees can be spent on development projects in the first 5 months of the financial year.
In the months of July to November, more than 224 billion 53 crores were released under the federal development program and more than 11 billion rupees were spent on the development projects of the cabinet division.
The document states that more than 18 billion rupees were spent on the development projects of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir affairs, including the four provinces, and more than 3 billion 14 billion rupees were spent on the development projects of the Higher Education Commission.
Apart from this, more than 2 billion rupees were spent on the development projects of the Ministry of Housing and Construction, and more than 20 billion rupees were spent on the development projects of the Ministry of Water Resources.
